Meet Your Dentists
Dr. Wesam Alani
Dr. Wesam Alani’s father practiced dentistry for over 30 years. After growing up watching him successfully manage his busy practice, Dr. Wesam was inspired to pursue a career in dentistry, following in his footsteps.
After completing dental school in the Middle East in 1998, Dr. Wesam trained in orthodontics. Following the completion of his studies, he moved to Dubai with Dr. Deena, his wife. They ran their own practice before moving to the United States in 2009.
As internationally trained dentists must complete further United States-based training before practicing in this country, Dr. Wesam and his wife both complete further education at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dentistry. Dr. Wesam has also completed training in Invisalign and digital smile design.
When not busy at the dental office, Dr. Wesam loves to cook. He’s also very handy and can fix pretty much anything. Dr. Wesam is married to Dr. Deena. They have two children, Leya, and Yousef. Dr. Wesam loves to spend time with his family.
Dr. Deena Alani
Dr. Deena Alani grew up in a family of physicians in the Middle East. She was inspired to pursue a career in the medical field at an early age. Dr. Deena is passionate about helping others, especially patients who feel too self-conscious to smile. She finds helping her patients to discover their best smiles very rewarding, and she enjoys her work.
Dr. Deena graduated from Baghdad University in 2001 and then moved to Dubai to live and work for five years. After moving to the U.S. in 2009, Dr. Deena completed dental school at the University of Pennsylvania, and the couple moved to Chattanooga in 2013. Initially, Dr. Deena worked for a local practice, but she and Dr. Wesam opened their own dental office in 2016.
In her free time, Dr. Deena likes to spend time with her family, including her two kids, Leya and Yousef. She enjoys traveling, hiking, and playing Mah Jongg. She is also a self-described coffee addict and loves soccer.
